Transformative Design

Praneet Mathur is a seasoned Computational Design and AEC Tech Consultant whose journey into AECTech was a deliberate shift immediately after architecture school. He immersed himself in technology and became a self-taught software developer, driven by a passion for building better tools for the industry. As an independent AECTech consultant, he founded ARPM Design and Research LLP in India and has worked with leading global companies such as HKS, Karamba3D, ShapeDiver, Sculptform and Supawood.

 

In addition to advanced software development, a significant part of his work involves delivering detailed working drawings for complex architectural projects across continents, all managed remotely from India. He is always searching for new opportunities to apply emerging technologies and build innovative tools, which led him to develop a new visual scripting tool built from scratch, inspired by Grasshopper3D, and accompanied by a peer-reviewed research paper on its event-driven programming capabilities, published at CAADRIA 2023.

 

With over seven years of experience in the AEC industry, his expertise includes computational design tool development, proficiency in multiple programming languages such as C# and Python, and applying emerging technologies like AI and XR to solve complex problems in AEC.
